OK OK, I know it has become a bit of a trend recently...EVERYONE seems to have a pair of Doc Martens these days. I just can't seem to walk down the street in London without seeing a pair on someone...but I just had to buy some myself!
I have a pair of boots from ten or so years back which I still wear to this day, but I wanted to see what was out there, seeing as DMs are making a comeback.
So...here they are!
These are the 1461 Made in England shoes, which a little more money, but the quality is brilliant and they will last me forever.
Now all I need to do is to raid my wardrobe and see what I can wear them with...
In the meantime, here's a short photo history about Doc Martens since their creation in 1960.

| In 2006 Shane Meadows film This is England in the early 80's when Doc Martens were still a part of the skinhead movement (perhaps this film helped to bring DMs back into the spotlight) |

| 2012 - OK so I'm not going to shave my head or get tattoos all over my arms, but still Doc Martens have an air of youth culture and rebellion about them |
