Sophie Hulme

I love Sophie Hulme bags.  With their effortless chic style and masculine edge, they really are ones to invest in.

If like me you are sick of these bags that all look the same at the moment -you know the ones that seem to be with a hobo shape, the Mulberry briefcase or trying to be like the whole 1950’s Grace Kelly/Jackie O style – then Hulme’s Armoured Tote or Mini Satchel is just for you.  It is a good price at around £550 for a tote and because of the bridle leather, they darken over time and become vintage looking.  My favourite colour is the tan one.

More about Sophie Hulme

Graduating from Kingston University in 2007, she won Student of the Year and Best Collection and is stocked in some of the world’s top stores, including Selfridges, Net-A-Porter and Liberty.

Her collections always have a trinket, which is inspired by her ever-expanding collection of charms and toys.  This can range from a chip fork, pen lid to pad lock or lolly pop stick.  (I have the lolly pop stick and really want the chip fork!)

I love that her designs have a story behind them and are inspired by these collectible objects, with craftsmanship at the forefront, keeping classic style and shapes but adapting them to pieces that you can wear them with.
